Last blog before take-off

Warning: this might be a bit of a long blog ;D

So, now there's only 3 days left till I'm off to Japan!!!
SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

I had my last day at work saturday, so happy I took these days off, since I'm getting a bit stressed out. Or rather, I think I'm just getting a bit nervous, since I've never traveled alone before and I've never traveled for such a long time before!

Pernille and I "getting ready for Japan" ;D

Pernille and I "getting ready for Japan", playing around with the one and only Purikura machine in DK ;D

I have got an overall plan of what I want to experience/where I want to go and when, though nothing too planned ofc, since a lot of my trip will be going with the flow.

The first week will be staying at a hotel, getting over my jet-lag and staying with Jus who has been friendly enough to host me for a few days also.
When that week is gone I've got another week before Pernille is coming, which I'll most likely spend in Kyoto.

Pernille and I at the Sakura Festival in Copenhagen. Talking a bit more about what to experience in Japan! ;D

Pernille and I rented an apartment for 1 month right by Yoyogi Park and about 20 minutes of walking distance from Harajuku. The apartment was rented through Sakura House and it's a really good deal. Cheaper than any hotel and even most hostels.
Lets see if it's actually an apartment we've rented and not just a cardboard box. It's almost too good to be true ;D

So far, we've just planned a trip to Osaka for a few days, mainly to see Universal Studios (wohoo, theme parks <3). Oh, and we've planned to go to Tokyo Disney Sea and to Fuji-Q Highland (wohoo, more theme parks <3).
I think it'll be a great break from being alone :'D.

When Pernille is gone, which will be about 1 1/2 months after I've arrived, I don't really have much planned.

I'm thinking about going to South Korea for 2 weeks, until the end of June. I haven't been in SK since 2010, when I was attending the Seoul International Youth Film Festival and I didn't get to experience much of the country or even of Seoul for that matter.
I'd love to meet up with some of the people I met back then, see Seoul and some of the country side. My only problem is, that I've spent so much time researching Japan, I have no clue at all of what to see in South Korea. So if anyone has any ideas at all, I'd love to hear them!!!
Though there is one thing that I would love to experience in SK, and it might sound a bit nerdy (;D), but I would absolutely love to experience a pro gaming event live. SK is the country for that, though I think the season is a bit off :[.

Trying to learn a bit of Japanese before I leave. A game with humor does help! ;D

On June 30th I'm turning 22. I would definitely like to do something on my birthday, since I haven't done anything on it since I turned 18 (yeah, 4 years of no partying... ;D).
Any crazy suggestions are welcome - the crazier the better!

Just received my 3 week Japanese Rail Pass. Time to see some more of the country!

So, in July I'm planning on traveling around Japan, seeing some more of the countryside. I just received my 3 week Japanese Rail Pass, so I can ride the train as much as I want within 3 weeks.
It's bloody expensive (paid about $620 or 3300kr), but on the long run it's much much cheaper.
I've got a bunch of places around mostly west- and eastern part of Japan, that I want to visit and then end up in Okinawa, where I'm thinking of taking my diving certificate, which I got as a birthday gift from my parents when I turned 15, but haven't had time to take yet. :'D

So yea, that's my over-all plan for my trip. But as I wrote earlier, I'm just going to go with the flow and see where it takes me! :'D

Until next time (which will most likely be when I am in Japan since it's happening on friday) - byeeeee!!!
*waves* :'D
